If you're on the hunt for a cozy and inviting spot to sip exquisite coffee and enjoy delightful bites, look no further than Kelburn Cafe, nestled conveniently at 87 Upland Road in the charming Kelburn village of Wellington, New Zealand. A haven for both locals and students alike, this café embodies the quintessential spirit of a warm community gathering place.

As you step inside, the inviting aroma of freshly brewed coffee sweeps you off your feet. The café exudes a welcoming atmosphere, complete with friendly staff eager to make your experience special. With plenty of natural light pouring in from the sun-drenched windows, it's hard not to feel relaxed and at ease, whether you’re catching up with friends or enjoying a moment of solitude.

Kelburn Cafe shines brightly not only for its inviting ambiance but also for its impressive coffee selection. As noted by satisfied patrons, their mochas and flat whites are nothing short of perfection. Picture this: a beautifully crafted flat white, made with your choice of oat milk, rich and velvety with an intricate latte art swirl atop. It’s a treat that lingers in your memory long after the last sip. Or perhaps you fancy trying their renowned Eggs Benedict, which has garnered raving reviews for its exquisite flavor and presentation. Each dish is made with love, ensuring satisfaction with every bite.

For those seeking something sweeter, indulge in their delectable blueberry friands that come with a delightful choice of butter or yoghurt. It’s the perfect complement to a cozy morning spent in good company. Reviewers, such as Peter Kelly, have praised the café's accommodating staff who are happy to cater to special requests, ensuring every meal is a personal delight.

While Kelburn Cafe offers a wonderful dining experience, it's worth mentioning that seating can be limited during peak hours; however, the café does a great job providing takeaways, perfect for those on-the-go. As echoed by Antony McDonald, it's not uncommon to witness the hustle and warmth of a busy café, so you might need a bit of patience during busy times. And, for those living in the area, Andrew Kemmy wishes they would open on Tuesdays, making it a much-needed local gem for your midweek coffee fix.

In conclusion, Kelburn Cafe stands out as a beloved local establishment, offering excellent coffee, a cozy atmosphere, and a warm community vibe. So whether you're a student searching for an affordable caffeine fix or a local wanting to enjoy a delightful meal in great company, this café should definitely be on your must-visit list in Wellington!

Just had the most absolutely perfect mocha from these guys, even despite my annoying order. Also, one of the best coffee prices I've seen across the country, which make it super nice on a student budget and makes it easier to keep going back. Would definitely recommend, whānau!

Awesome cafe. Great sunny spot too. Friendly staff so definitely recommended. Eggs Benedict was really good and the flat white with oat milk was perfect. My wife has avacado on toast with a frothy hot chocolate which she really enjoyed. Parking can be a challenge and not many seats so be patient in the village. Take aways also available if you are in a hurry.

Great. Typical experience today: blueberry friand, delicious ("would you like butter or yoghurt?" "both please"; came with a little bowl of each); the BLAT pictured ("would you like it toasted?" "no, but could you take the bacon out and heat it on the grill, then serve it?" "sure!"); a flat white (beautiful, tasty); and a hot chocolate. Kids had toys to play with, the other patrons kindly swapped tables with us so all five of us could fit, it wasn't too loud, it wasn't too hot or too cold... and still great a couple of years later.

Awesome. Good food and pleasant. It would be even better if you could open on Tuesdays - there are no cafes open in Kelburn village on Tuesday mornings at present!
